Opening a Pummelo
The Sunkist® pummelo looks like an imposing fruit, but it’s really a big softy.
Start off by slicing off the stem end of the fruit.
Next, score the peel with a knife or peeler in sixths or eighths, being careful not to cut into the fruit itself.
Now, carefully pull the peel away with your fingers.
Break the fruit in half with your hands.
Then, break into segments.
Cut the top of the skin of each segment with a knife.
Easily peel the skin off each segment with your fingers.
You’re ready to enjoy the delicious mild grapefruit flavor of the Sunkist pummelo.
