Zesty Whisky Sour

Zesty Simple Syrup ingredients

  • 0.1 Sunkist lemon's worth of zest
  • 0.1 cup of sugar
  • 0.1 cup of water

Cocktail ingredients

  • 1.5 ounces of whiskey
  • 0.75 ounce freshly-squeezed Sunkist lemon juice
  • 1 ounce Sunkist Zesty Simple Syrup
  • 1 Sunkist lemon wedge, for garnish
  • 1 Cherry, for garnish

Zesty Simple Syrup

Directions

  1. Place the zest, sugar and water in a small sauce pan.
  2. Bring to a quick simmer over medium-high heat then immediately remove from heat.
  3. Let sit for 30 minutes then strain.
  4. Store refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.

Cocktail

Directions

  1. Measure the whiskey, lemon juice and Zesty Simple Syrup into a cocktail shaker.
  2. Fill with ice, cap and shake.
  3. Pour into an old fashioned glass.
  4. Garnish with lemon wedge and cherry on a pick.
