Meyer Lemon Vanilla Infused Bourbon ingredients

  • 2 Sunkist® Meyer lemons' Zest
  • 2 vanilla beans, split
  • 1 (750 ml) bottle bourbon

Ginger Syrup ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 0.25 cup chopped ginger
  • 2 cups sugar

Cocktail ingredients

  • 3 wedges Sunkist Meyer lemon (1/8 wedges)
  • 4 mint leaves
  • 2 ounces Sunkist Meyer-Lemon Vanilla Infused Bourbon (above recipe)
  • 0.75 ounce Ginger Syrup (above recipe)
  • Fresh mint sprigs, for garnish
  • Sunkist Meyer lemon zest, for garnish

Meyer Lemon Vanilla Infused Bourbon

Directions

  1. Using a channel knife, zest strips from the lemons.
  2. Place all ingredients in to a large jar, cover and shake.
  3. Let infuse for two weeks before using.

Ginger Syrup

Directions

  1. Blend the water and the ginger together. Then place in a sauce pan and bring to a boil.
  2. Immediately add sugar, stir and bring back to a boil.
  3. Remove from heat and let ginger steep for 2 hours.
  4. Strain through a chinoise (fine mesh strainer) and refrigerate for up to two weeks.

Cocktail

Directions

  1. In a mixing glass muddle the lemons and mint.
  2. Measure in the Infused Bourbon and Ginger Syrup.
  3. Fill with ice and shake.
  4. Strain into a rocks glass over large format ice and garnish.
